June 25 commemoration: Matiang'i calls for peaceful protests ahead of Gen Z protest anniversary

I want to tell the government this.

There's a limit to what you can do and there's a limit to the point you can push your people to.

When people respond and when people resist, it will be unfortunate.

And when leaders are in office such as we have seen around with all these arrogant ubies that we have seen, they

imagine it will not happen. it can and will actually happen if we are not careful about the language we are using and how we are addressing ourselves. So

I hope the government will be more responsible, more reflective, more consultative, more inclusive as we go

into this season of commemorating the demonstrations of 2024 and then then and

more tolerant and more careful of the lives of our young people. But otherwise, if it's going to be a game of

muscle and showing off of power and so on and so forth, I fear that we might lose lives. And for me, that is what concerns me all the time. And I hope we don't lose lives. That's all.
